VP Brands International gets another business Oscar at the Mr and Mrs Economics

The agricultural and food industry award was given to company boss Ivan Ppazov

The Executive Director of VP Brands International was awarded of Mr and Mrs Economy 2019 ceremony  in the Agriculture and Food Industry category.

The Fisherman and the Gold Fish honorary statuette was bestowed upon him by Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova in recognition of the outstanding results of the company and its efforts to drive economic growth in the country.

Ivan Papazov thanked for the honor and stated that VP Brands International was a leading maker of quality wines and alcoholic beverages in Bulgaria who owed its success mostly to the people who work the land, look after the vineyards and pick the excellent Bulgarian grapes. Over the years, the company had always made efforts to develop and nurture a strong bond between Bulgarian’s agriculture and an end product with high quality and added value. “We created our own agricultural structure. We grew to become a trusted partner for hundreds of Bulgaria’s agricultural producers. We recognized the social role our business plays in supporting people’s livelihood. I would like to thank all of our employees, partners and customers for their trust and for being loyal members of our family,“ Mr Papazov added during the ceremony.

The winners of the Mr and Mrs Economy awards are selected by a jury comprised of members of the board of directors of the Confederation of Employers in Bulgaria (KRIB), who recognize the country’s most accomplished entrepreneurs from 10 different categories. The host of the contest, KRIB Chairman Kiril Domuschiev expressed his joy from the fact that the Board of Directors of KRIB had managed to pick the winners in all business sectors, and the hope that in the future there will be greater competition, making it harder to nominate and choose the winners. “I hope that Bulgaria will remain a good place to do business and invest in,“ he aded.

Ivan Papazov is Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of VP Brands International. he has been a member of the management team since the 1990s. It was under his leadership that the company became the market leader in Bulgaria and reinforced its position as a leading manufacturer of wines and alcoholic beverages in over 40 countries across the globe winning a number of prestigious accolades on the national and international level. Mr Papazov was the winner of the Mr Economy prize for 2014.
