VP Brands International CEO with honorary scientific degree

The University of Food Technologies in Plovdiv has awarded an honorary professorship to VP Brands International CEO Ivan Papazov. The unanimous decision was made by the Academic Council of the institution and the recognition is due to the long-standing cooperation between the largest wine and spirits company in Bulgaria and the only higher education institution in the country, devoted to the food industry.
The Academic Council highlights the indisputable contribution and merits of Ivan Papazov and the VP Brands International, led by him, for the development of the University of Food Technologies as an educational and scientific institution, guaranteeing a high degree of perspective professional realization of its graduates."Welcome to our academic community. This was announced by the Rector of the University of Food Technologies Plamen Mollov at the presentation of the honorary title to Ivan Papazov. He thanked VP Brands and its CEO personally for the long-standing cooperation and wished it to deepen in the coming years.
"I would like to express my gratitude to the University, because thanks to its scientific thought and the future staff it creates, our company has become the largest producer of wine and spirit beverages in the country, said Ivan Papazov. You have helped us to make the best products, you have created the best employees, who are now the basis of our company's success. That is why, we will continue to support you in everything you do," VP Brands CEO told the institution's Academic Council.
Since its founding, the largest alcohol production company has supported The University of Food Technologies in all its initiatives. Part of this is the ongoing internship programme with The University of Food Technologies. Over the past 20 years, more than 500 students have been able to work side-by-side with proven industry professionals, putting theoretical knowledge into practice, experimenting and developing their professional skills. Today, over 100 highly qualified specialists - graduates of the university - are the core of technological and economic teams of VP Brands International in Plovdiv, Peshtera, Sojdeniye, Katunitsa, Yambol and Pleven.
Ivan Papazov is among the graduates of the University of Food Technology with a MBA in Wine and Spirit Beverages. Since 1998, he has been the CEO of VP Brands international, and his professional career has been invariably connected with the sector.
Under his management, the company grew as the largest producer of wines and spirits beverages in Bulgaria, with a presence in over 40 global markets, on five continents.
VP Brands international has 8 of the most modern alcohol production and storage facilities in the region and employs over 1,200 experts to ensure the world-class quality of its products.
The University of Food Technologies is one of the oldest educational institutions in Bulgaria. This year the University celebrated its 70th anniversary. Under the leadership of the Rector prof. Plamen Mollov, the institution has developed a serious program of cooperation with the business and has become one of the best examples of how science can work hand in hand with Bulgarian companies for better professional realization of students and the creation of innovative products that become emblems for our country.
